A two-time individual CrossFit Games athlete, Brooke Wells won the 2015 Central Regional at age 19 in her first appearance. A year later, she took third in her region, but vaulted to the top of the Games with six top-five finishes and one event win.
A senior at University of Missouri, Wells is on track to graduate with a degree in business and plans to continue competiting in CrossFit in the future.
Where do you live and where is your hometown? Columbia, MO. From Russellville, AR.
What is your favorite workout or type of workout? I love Chipper type workouts and heavy weights involved!
How much of your day is dedicated to working out? My day is pretty much always planned around working out, but I would say at least 4-5 hours a day on average.
What’s your favorite treat food? Sushi and ice cream!
What’s your mantra? Stay focused.
What/who is your greatest inspiration? I always looked up to Nadia Comaneci because she was the first woman in gymnastics to ever get a perfect 10.
What advice would you give your younger self? I am pretty young but just to never care what people think; do what you love to do.
What are your interests outside the gym? I would say school, but its not an interest per se! I love to do anything outdoors and use my fitness for fun activities.
What's Next for Brooke?
CrossFit Regionals will run for three weekends from May 19-June 4, pitting the sport’s top athletes against each other for a chance to advance to the Games Aug. 1-6. Wells will compete in the Central Regional May 26-28 in Nashville, Tenn.
